1. Margot Robbie was born in 1990 in Dalby, Queensland, Australia.
She began her career in Australian independent films before moving to the United States. Her breakthrough role was as Naomi Lapaglia in the Martin Scorsese film The Wolf of Wall Street (2013).
Robbie is best known for playing Harley Quinn in Suicide Squad (2016) and Birds of Prey (2020). Her portrayal of the character has been acclaimed.
But a sudden career pivot to the silver screen catapulted her early fame. She soon starred in 5 TV shows, and 4 major motion pictures.
In 2017, she received Academy Award and BAFTA nominations for Best Supporting Actress for her role as Tonya Harding in I, Tonya.
Time magazine named her one of the 100 most influential people in the world in 2020.
